Loop a video

Turn a three-second clip into a fifteen-second one by repeating it inside a single file, instead of relying on a player that has to loop it. Nothing is re-encoded.

Files are deleted automatically after 60 minutes.

The clip is repeated this many times inside one video file.

How to loop a clip

  1. Add the video.
  2. Choose how many times it should play.
  3. Press Loop the video and download the longer file.

Why this is different from a loop button

Most players can replay a file on repeat, but only while the player is running and only in that player. Here the repetition is written into the file itself, so it works everywhere: on a phone, a TV, a kiosk, a projector, a chat app, an upload form that does not loop anything.

No quality lost, because nothing is re-encoded

For MP4 and WebM clips the picture and sound are copied as they are: the same frames are simply read again. The output is therefore exactly as sharp as the input, and the operation takes a few seconds even on a long original. Files that cannot be copied into their own container are re-encoded once.

The file size multiplies with the number of plays, roughly: a 4 MB clip played five times is about 20 MB. If size matters more than length, loop fewer times and compress the result afterwards.

Getting a clean loop

A loop is only seamless if the last frame matches the first one. Before looping, cut the clip so that it starts and ends on the same point of the movement — the trim tool, with the same start and end pose, does that in a few seconds. This is what makes the difference between an obvious restart and a loop that seems to run forever.

Where it helps

  • Backgrounds — a candle, rain on a window, a waving flag behind a title.
  • Waiting screens — a shop display or a reception screen that must not stop.
  • Presentations — a looping demo inside a slide, without clicking play again.
  • Social posts — a short clip lengthened to fit a format that dislikes very short videos.

What happens to your file

The upload is deleted when the job ends and the result within the hour. No account, no watermark, no e-mail needed.

Questions about Loop a video

Does looping lower the quality?

For MP4 and WebM the streams are copied, so the picture is identical to the original. Other containers are re-encoded once.

How large will the file be?

Roughly the original size multiplied by the number of plays, since the same data is repeated. Compress the result if you need it smaller.

Is the loop seamless?

Only if the clip starts and ends on the same point. Cut it that way with the trim tool first; the tool cannot invent the missing frames.

Is the sound repeated too?

Yes, the audio track is repeated with the picture, so it stays in sync.

What if the total length is too long?

Fewer plays, or a shorter clip. The tool tells you before starting if the result would pass the maximum duration.
